"Single or taken?" the female host of the morning show asked.

Lance's heart rate went through the roof at the sound of the question then seemed to completely stop as he nervously watched as everyone went around and said their answers. He held his coffee cup up to his mouth, but didn't drink just yet knowing that he'd probably choke on it.

Leaving the hotel room that morning had been hard for him that morning. He had to push himself to breath evenly and had to force his legs to move him down the hall away from the room. He wanted so badly to just go back in there and climb back in bed, but he knew he couldn't. He had work to do and the sooner he got it done the sooner he could get back to her. It was going to be hard to stay on task, but he knew he had to.

"Taken," Justin said with a laugh, "Everyone knows that."

"She's here this weekend, right?" the DJ asked.

"Yeah," Chris answered for him, "Except unlike Justy here, she gets to have her beauty sleep."

"There are so many things I could say right now," Joey joked.

"Shut up!" Justin said and hit at Joey's head. "My lady is beautiful."

"I beg to differ," JC said, "She's not so happy when she doesn't get her coffee in the morning."

Laughter broke out and Lance thought about EJ laying in bed in the hotel. She had looked so good, even half asleep and he cursed himself silently again for leaving her there alone. He was absolutely crazy for leaving a naked woman alone in his bed. He knew he'd regret it later, hell, he regretted it the moment he stepped out of the room, but there wasn't much he could do about it.

"Taken," JC said with a sound as if he was embarrassed to admit it.

Chris laughed then said, "Hi Dani."

"At least he didn't say Fumanskeeto this time," Justin joked.

"That's W-W-W-dot-fumanskeeto-dot-com," Chris quickly threw out.

"Any other plugs we need to get through?"

"FreeLance," Lance said quickly then added, "Happy Place."

"Anyone else?"

"I've got a new movie coming out," Joey said looking over to Lance. "Lance and I are staring in it."

"Ok. Ok. Enough free advertising," the host said, "Lance...the last, but not least...we all know that you're still the only single guy in the group--"

"I'm not so single any more," he interjected. "I actually just--"

"Lance is a babe magnet," Chris said, "He got tired of stealing all our women from us so he got one of his own."

"Do we get a name?" the host said, "I mean we know about everyone else's woman out there."

"I don't know," he said, "I haven't really talked to her about that."

"Haven't talked to her about it?" the DJ asked, "You didn't pick up some dancer did you?"

Everyone broke into laughter and Lance tried to stay calm. He knew he couldn't say half the things that had just run through his mind, but he wanted to strangle the DJ across from him.

"And it looks like we have a call from the mystery woman."

Lance's head flipped around and looked at the guy running the phones. "Are you serious?" he asked then got up from his seat and walked over to the guy to take the phone.

"Hey." Her voice was still tired, but she seemed to be awake.

He turned away from everyone in the room and leaned against the counter to speak softly to her, "I thought you were going back to sleep."

"I just took a shower and was flipping stations and found the show. I think I need to come over there and strangle that woman."

Lance let out a laugh, "I really don't see you being the phsyical type."

"I could beat you up," she said.

Lance looked back over at the group. A song had been put on and the guys were signing autographs. "I'm not sure that would be good, but do you want to talk to her?"

"That's why I called."

"OK," he said, "Hold on a second."

He turned to the guy answering the phone, "Can you put her on the air?"

"Yeah," he said, "After the next song is over."

"Do it," he said and put the phone up again, "Hold on and they'll put you on."

"Ok," she said.

The song that was on soon came to an end and the host pressed the button to answer the correct line. "So mystery woman...who are you?" the host asked.

"I'm Lance's girlfriend," she said.

The words hit him hard and he put his head down to hide the emotion that would sure to be present on his face.

"Awe," the host said, "He's blushing."

JC put a hand on his shoulder and looked at him. "Take it," JC said, "This makes up for all the times that you sat back and made fun of us for stuff like this."

"I know I know."

"So aren't you gonna say hello to your woman?" the host said.

"Hi," he said.

"Oh come on," the host said, "That didn't sound too loving."

"What should I be saying?" he asked.

"How did he get you to stick around for long?" the host asked EJ.

"He's still half asleep," she said, "He hasn't had his white hot chocolate yet this morning."

"Is that supposed to be a sexual comment?" Justin asked.

"No," she said with a laugh, "Well maybe...actually that's how we met...over white chocolate hot chocolate that my restaurant serves."

"Not another plug for something," the DJ said, "You really know how to pick them Lance."

"Sorry," EJ said.

Lance sat up in his chair. "EJ don't appologize. They were just kidding."

"So how do you like hanging out with these clowns?" the host asked.

"I haven't actually spent that much time with all of them. We went to Hawaii a few weeks ago, but really they leave me alone and I leave them alone."

"Hey!" JC said, "We aren't that bad." "Well there was that one time--"

"At band camp," the five guys in the studio said and of course laughter came after that.

"Sorry," Lance said, "What were you going to say?"

"I was just going to say about the time that Chris and Dani hid the plane ticket on the way to Hawaii," he said.

"Oh yeah," Chris said, "I love being felt up...too bad it was Chicken and not you."

Lance reached over and hit at Chris.

"Hey, stop that!"

"Well tell your woman that you'll see her later because we've gotta get back to working here guys," the host finally said.

"Bye honey," he said.

"Bye," EJ said and hung up.

The rest of the interview was spent talking about the Challenge for the Children activities and playing songs by the other artists that were in town for the event. Lance knew he was going to have to make it up to EJ about the little disturbance. She'd been the one to call up, but he had a feeling she didn't know what she was getting herself into.
